Dr. Kumar Abhishek is a highly accomplished Senior Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Healing Hospital, Chandigarh with 12+ years of transformative experience in advanced minimally invasive surgery, laser treatments, and comprehensive general surgical care. He brings exceptional expertise in state-of-the-art laparoscopic techniques and cutting-edge laser technology to the Tricity healthcare landscape.

Dr. Abhishek completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Patiala, Punjab—one of North India’s premier medical institutions—where he developed a strong foundation in clinical medicine and surgical principles. He pursued his postgraduate specialization earning his MS in General Surgery from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana, Punjab, gaining comprehensive training in all aspects of general surgery from emergency trauma care to elective surgical procedures.

His quest for surgical excellence led him to complete Senior Residency at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh from 2010 to 2013, where he honed his skills in complex surgical cases and emergency management. Recognizing his keen interest in laparoscopic surgery and the future of minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Abhishek pursued Fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery (FMAS) at Sunrise Hospital, Kochi under the expert guidance of renowned laparoscopic surgeon Dr. R. Padmakumar—one of India’s pioneers in advanced laparoscopic procedures. He further enhanced his expertise by completing a specialized Certificate Course in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery at Gem Hospital, Coimbatore, one of India’s leading centres for colorectal surgery.
