Biography

Dr. Jaspreet Singh Randhawa is a board-certified and highly accomplished Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon at Healing Hospital, Chandigarh with 15+ years transformative experience in the management of complex neurological and spinal disorders. He is a Gold Medalist in M.Ch. Neurosurgery from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune—one of India’s most elite neurosurgical training programmes—where he trained under the guidance of eminent neurosurgeons Brig (Dr.) M. N. Swamy and Brig (Dr.) Maneet Gill, gaining proficiency in performing both routine and highly complex neurosurgical procedures.

Dr. Randhawa completed his MBBS from Jawaharlal Medical College, Belgaum, Karnataka, and earned his MS in General Surgery from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana, before pursuing super-specialization in Neurosurgery. His quest for excellence led him to complete multiple prestigious fellowships including Fellowship in Functional Neurosurgery from Aster CMI, Bengaluru (one of India’s leading centres for Deep Brain Stimulation and movement disorder surgery), Fellowship in Endoscopic Spine Surgery (mastering minimally invasive spine techniques), Fellowship in Neurointervention from GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi (advanced endovascular treatment of stroke and aneurysms), and Master’s in Comprehensive Neuroendoscopy (minimally invasive brain surgery).

His distinguished career includes serving as Senior Resident at AFMC Pune, Senior Resident at India’s premier institution AIIMS New Delhi, Senior Resident and later Consultant at Lok Nayak Hospital, MAMC New Delhi, Consultant Neurosurgeon at Fortis Healthcare New Delhi, and consultant positions at leading hospitals in Chandigarh Tricity including Bahra Hospital and Livasa Hospital, Mohali.

Dr. Randhawa specializes in the complete spectrum of neurosurgical procedures including Functional Neurosurgery (Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia; spinal cord stimulation for resistant chronic pain syndromes), minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery (sutureless discectomy, endoscopic decompression, fusion surgeries, scoliosis correction), comprehensive brain tumor surgery (gliomas, meningiomas, pituitary tumors, acoustic neuromas using microsurgical techniques and neuronavigation), advanced epilepsy surgery (temporal lobectomy, lesionectomy, corpus callosotomy) for drug-resistant seizures, neurointervention for cerebral aneurysms and stroke (endovascular coiling, mechanical thrombectomy), neuroendoscopy for hydrocephalus (endoscopic third ventriculostomy), brain cysts, and intraventricular tumors, brachial plexus repair restoring arm and hand function after severe injuries, pediatric neurosurgery (meningomyelocele repair, hydrocephalus treatment with VP shunt), and 24/7 emergency trauma neurosurgery (head injuries, spinal cord injuries, intracranial hemorrhages).

Dr. Randhawa has made significant academic contributions with numerous publications in prestigious national and international journals on minimally invasive spine surgery, Deep Brain Stimulation, and brachial plexus repair. His educational excellence is nationally recognized—his lectures on various medical conditions are part of the National Database of IGNOU, New Delhi, and have been aired on national television and disseminated across government medical institutions throughout India.

He is a lifetime member of the Endoscopic Spine Foundation of India, associate member of Indian Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (INDSPN), associate member of Neurological Surgeons’ Society of India (NSSI), and member of Asian Australasian Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery (AASPN), actively participating in advancing neurosurgical knowledge and techniques.
